Thirteen years ago at 10:56 am on Thursday, January 19th, 2006 Sophia Rose made her long awaited arrival into the Savannah, Georgia scene. She was gorgeous!
She had strawberry blond hair, bright blue eyes, porcelain skin with a charming dimple in her chin as well as the most scrumptious luscious lips. Those features have only been enhanced with age...

She made her first cross country road trip at the age of 5 months when her Big Daddy, Memommie and Mommy drove cross country to meet up with Daddy Mark, who was attending The Defense Foreign Language Institute School in Monterey, California. We had a wonderful time visiting family and friends along the way.

This young woman has only improved with age as she has traveled the world with her parents and her sister Lydia Mae, she has acclimated herself to several moves, changed schools, homes and friends. She has grown in her learning skills, and is very creative and artistic. Her sensitive spirit is sometimes overlooked as she displays her sarcastic nature which is characteristic of Capricorns. She shares her birthday month of January with her Big Daddy, Curt and has many of his creative features, art, music, writing and more often then not 'she listens to the beat of her own drummer' making her way on her journey a pathway artistically made. Today she is celebrating her 13th birthday by playing all day in a Volleyball tournament,, coming home to Chinese food, and Red Velvet Cake, another Big Daddy, and Uncle Chris's favorite birthday cake, then later watching the first Star Wars movie. A 13 year old with eclectic tastes. That is why we love her and can not wait to see what the teenage years have yet to unfold with this child-woman who the birth Doctor said had an amazing Cerebellum. Bring it on Sophia Rose!

'There is a time to speak up, and a time to be silent. A time to read and a time to write. A time to learn and a time to teach. A time to listen and a time to be heard. A time to lose and a time to gain. And for all of these things the time is now'. God Bless. LSJL
